for my class we have been using buttercream icing. while sugary and good, it's way too potent to actually eat the amount i decorate with, so i decided to try heavy whipping cream. it tasted like heaven and nobody had a problem downing a rose. while much harder and time consuming to make, it wasnt that bad. you just have to keep it cold, so i would make one thing and then stick it back in the freezer for a while. also lots of piping gel.
